Birth

Free by Michele Meister

Enough with the lamentations
the complains
the criticisms
the comments
the reviews
the critiques

Enough with the
meaningless words
unreliable sorrows
fashionable ideas
polished surfaces
slippery champagnes
and emptiness on sale

I am tired of
bargaining my sincerity
of trading with hypocrisy
of being part –time human
of sweeping the shore
and paint leaves on trees

Time to scream
to get on the road holding banners
to sign my heart away
to write paeans
to live in eons
to light the candle of my anger
and walk on the sea

It’s time to give birth to me.
