An endless day

The constant rhythm of an endless day
the broken nights
the slippery darkness
the dawn with incoherent songs
puts my spirit to sleep

My salvation becomes
whatever light the night brings

The moonlight over the backyard
writes messages on the damp towels
still hanging on the clothesline

“One night” I thought “ I’ll ride
in the moonlight, I’ll climb
the ladder and reach the moon.
I’ll chain it to my window sill
next to the rosemary
One night I might be able to find the absolute silence
that speaks to me every time it rains…”.

Another great post. Thanks for sharing this. Spending time sitting down to writing short stories and poems is something I truly enjoy in life. I enjoy reading your blog very much.

A Great Day for Spring – Poem

    • Thank you. It’s important to do what gives you joy isn’t it? Thanks for sending A great day for spring. Never tried haiku. I admire people who can be that succinct.
